Actions for students & lesson packages
1. Fun activity on the #dagtegengas
Although most schools are closed on Sunday 27 March, we hope you at least make sure the lights are off and the heating is as low as possible. But maybe you can also do a fun activity with the children. Give them an assignment to investigate at home. For example with this treasure hunt and discuss this in class on Monday.
Or have a ‘winter sports at school’ day where the heating is set to 0 and all students put on their ski suit or winter clothing. Even more fun: turn on some Austrian music.
2. Energetic Schools
Energieke Scholen is a teaching program in which primary school students work with energy and the indoor environment to make their school building more energy-efficient and healthier.
3. Lesson box Energetic
The Leskist Energiek is about economical use of energy and the use of sustainable energy sources.
4. Green energy lesson box
With this set of Green energy lesson box , each group of students gets started with an experiment. They actively generate the energy from wind, sun and geothermal heat and experience that it works. Doing and experiencing: then sustainability comes to mind.
5. Place under the sun
At Plek onder de zon , students gain insight into the possibilities of solar energy, both in the Netherlands and in developing countries. The project challenges the students to get started with solar energy in a practical and playful way.
6. Energy[r]evolution
Play with your students the energy[r]evolution after. Have the students look at the climate problem through the eyes of the government, consumer, energy company or environmental organization.
7. The Climate and the Arctic
Students discover how fossil fuels cause climate change and the melting of the polar caps. Then they look at the solutions: clean energy that you use smartly.
8. BREEAM-NL
How sustainable is a primary school? Students invent it themselves with BREEAM-NL Junior . BREEAM-NL Junior Environmental Scan Primary School is a teaching package with which pupils from the upper years of primary school independently map out the sustainability of the school.
9. Energy scavenger hunt home
Here you will find assignments that students can do at home to learn more about energy and how they can save it. It is a big assignment.
10. Energy Challenges
Energy Challenges is the project where behavior and technology come together. It consists of a campaign trajectory and a technical trajectory. Pupils are challenged to campaign in their own way for energy saving and sustainability at their school.

Eco-Schools is a program for schools that work with students on sustainable thinking and acting. Students are invited to take action and experience what contribution they can make to a sustainable society. More focused on VO.
Actions for schools and their buildings
In addition, there are tips for schools to make the building more sustainable even with small measures and thus contribute to a better environment.
